University collaborations
As part of my work, I regularly designed and delivered high quality hands-on training sessions and materials in AI and Edge Computing for various university graduate courses and workshops. I have led lectures, workshops, guided student projects and mentored hackathon participants at UBC, SFU, University of Alberta and University of Toronto.
Mentoring
I have volunteered as a mentor in several workshops organized by Canada Learning Code, a non-profit working towards promoting code literacy among youth and adults. I have also helped young professionals and startups to get started navigating their AI journeys, through various platforms like AthenaPathways, Fiverr and MentorColor.
Entrepreneurship
South Africa’s gender-based violence (GBV) statistics are consistently ranked amongst the highest in the world. I joined an international team (not-for-profit) to create and launch a series of educational games platform designed for 4th graders as a primary intervention to change perceptions around gender based violence.
